Planetary positions described by Sage Vyas in Mahabharata
Dr. Vartak has corrected difference in 'Sayan' and 'Niryan' method of
reading constellations and after correcting mistake has derived exact
positions of planets on the day Mahabharata War started. These were the
positions of planets as given in Mahabharata at various places. These
occurred on 16th October 5562 B.C.
Mahabharat War started on this date and lasted for 18 days. Around 4
million people were killed in this war. Any one can derive that when 4
million people are killed in span of 18 days, the weapons used must have
been very advanced weapons of mass destruction. Like Brahmastra is
similar to atomic weapon.

Rahu is not actual planet but intersection point of moon and earth's
trajectories. Another intersection point is ketu which is 180 degree
opposite to Rahu
Anuradha is constellation in which star Vega is seen. This constellation
started appearing shifted from it's place due to motion of earth around
it's axis. Hence it was replaced by "Kruttika" (Eta Tauri) by astrologers. This occurred
around 12000 years B. C.

Regarding Urenus, Neptune and Pluto, Sage Vyas has given descriptions
of three planets (Shwet, Sham and Teekshana) and their positions. These
positions match with back calculated positions of Uranus, Neptune and
Pluto. We are left with no alternative to accept that these three
planets were know to Sage Vyas
Dr. Vartak has also taken various other proofs for arriving on a date
for Mahabharat War including seasonal changes due to motions
like precession of equinox and it's effect on constellations on which summer and winter solstice
occur. For example, Dr. Vartak indicates that when Lord Krushna was born in the month of Shravan
( a month when
full moon is seen in Shravan Constellation) during summer season.
(Presently rainy season is observed during the month of Shravan in INDIA.
